Speed complaints split into two very different problems: the line is genuinely slow (then du owes you a fix) or only Wi-Fi in one room is slow (then a router or mesh change fixes it, and du will not). Measure over Ethernet with a wired speed test at 8pm, when the node is busy, and you have the evidence for whichever conversation you need.

Steps
- Test with a cable into the router, or stand next to it, at 20:00-23:00 - peak load is when promises break.
- Compare the number with the tier you pay for; 60-70% of a 500 Mbps fibre plan is normal over Wi-Fi, less than 20% is not.
- Check the device list - one phone updating or a laptop backing up can eat the whole pipe.
- Turn off "smart connect"/band steering if a gaming console or meeting laptop keeps landing on 2.4 GHz.
- If the wired test fails, run a speed test on the du app so the result lands in their system, then open the ticket with that reference.
